1429791 2016-12-14 00:07:00 My lady neighbour has asked me to "fix" her laptop , Compac Presario CQ61, running Win 10
Her grand daughter was "playing" with it and now when it starts up it goes straight in to "safe mode". I can not see the app that is causing this, I have tried to "restore" it several time and have run out of restore points. What should I do to get this back to normal mode ?

If you click the start button, then hold down the shift key while you click on Power -> Restart (Or alternative do this from the lock-screen), it'll restart and bring up a different boot menu which should let you decide

Alternatively click start, type "msconfig" and open that up, then go to Boot and untick "Safe boot" if it's still on.

1429794 2016-12-14 03:30:00 Is there a program or App that I can use that tells me what the laptop is "working " on / with ? There seems to be a large amount of activity happening evn thought I have no apps open or on screen. In the past , I have seen such a program , that re[ports on what programs are running and how much memory they are using. Swampy (2426)
