2016-11-07 20:04:00 | Hello ladies. Fellas.. please no ribald comments or witty remarks. Some of you will have the same problem. As you will know I am in a rest home after Maryann died & I was deemed as being incapable of looking after myself. My urine incontinence has got a little worse & I have to wear sanitary pads. Do you know of a way to deodorise the pads. Talc doesn't seem much help. Nor can the caregivers here. A delicate subject I know. Please PM me if you can help. I don't fancy stuffing one of those Fresh Air conical toilet deodorants into my undies!!! PJ :help ps A bit naughty but..... I shake talc powder liberally onto the pad & I am always worried that if I do a big fluff that I might be surrounded by a cloud of Talc dust. pj :)

2016-11-07 20:23:00 | Hi PJ. My wife was a caregiver of the elderly for a number of years so it is her brains I picked here. Firstly she suggests that you should discuss the problem with your doctor as it possible to get a Govt. subsidy for such items as you require such as pads or disposable pullups? I did hear an advert (radio I think) that it is now possible to get pullups that can now be laundered up to 100 times but might be a bit expensive though. However, maybe the doctor should be the first point of call.

2016-11-07 20:38:00 | Hi Poppa John. A very timely comment as I am facing the same thing soon. The thought of being surrounded by a cloud of dust cracked me up. Serious subject I know but I laughed out loud. All the best

2016-11-08 02:31:00 | Why ladies only? It's a thing with men too.... Friend has it, because of nerve damage... There are products: Tena For Men Odour Control Incontinence Pads And: www.maudesonline.org.nz This more of a deodorant type use, the webiste is fairly helpful. She found some other products she gets overseas too, they have more of a selection. Iherb perhaps, haven't checked their site but probably, can't remember where she found her stuff, but they had all kinds of better products than here.

Just be careful of talc as it is bad for the lungs and reproductive organs or so the commercials are warning . The biggest company - at least in the US - is Johnson & Johnson who makes all sorts of talcum baby powders, talcum feminine products and even chewing gum (talcum) additives . [/URL] It's also bogus. Same category as deodorant causes cancer, artificial sweeteners etc etc. Google hoaxes. |

2016-11-09 18:42:00 | Sorry to bust your bubble - but the lawsuits have been files and there's constant reminders on nationally broadcast TV all the time to get into the class action suit against Johnson & Johnson. These aren't ambulance chaser either, it's the Federal Drugs Administration who started the suits. So - it's NOT a Google Fart.
