701086 2008-08-28 21:10:00 For WinXP Home - is there a program that will monitor XP's boot up so that any problems can be identified? Sometimes my XP hangs and I have to hit the reset button (then it boots up OK). A few weeks ago some change that I made must have created a conflict, or maybe there is a corrupted dll file. Is there a simple freebie (maybe part of XP?) program that would locate the problem?

Thanks.

:dogeye: Surely there must be something to log what happens during boot up.

701088 2008-08-30 07:04:00 Try pressing F8 then select enable boot logging. It'll create a file ntbtlog.txt in the windows folder

Dont know if that'll tell you what maybe stuffed

But it'll tell u, is what drivers did and didnt load
