461165 2006-06-06 09:00:00 Hi,
Have old Pioneer DVR-107D dvd writer. Has performed flawlessly for few years. Today inserted DVD movie but the Ulead software that came with the writer did not load. Thinking the problem was with Ulead I uninstalled and reinstalled again but no luck. Tried to play DVD with Media Player which worked ok except there was no sound.

Downloaded different media player and same result. Movie plays but no sound.

Sound works when I play MP3's.
I can insert and play music cd on this drive fine.
I have downloaded firmware update but no change.

Seems strange that drive will play music cd's fine but no sound when dvd movie is playing - anyways, any ideas?

Sam

edit: damn wrong forum - sorry mod's

The DVD drive should have come with some DVD playing software like PowerDVD or WinDVD. Ulead would be for creating your own DVDs.
