460771 2006-06-05 10:51:00 ...transparent write access for NTFS partitions...The new version of Knoppix is out, and it looks like it has NTFS write capabilities. Anyone had a chance to try this out yet? I'm curious as to how well this works, and whether I can find some way of getting this for dapper too. Erayd (23)
460772 2006-06-05 16:38:00 I got told on irc never to rely on linux writing NTFS. Don't risk it i was told. Just create a FAT32 partition for sharing files accross win/lin mejobloggs (264)
460773 2006-06-05 21:25:00 Yep, I was told / have read the same thing too. I was just wondering about this one, whether there's finally a reliable option. The reason I ask is that NTFS write was a major feature of the (fairly small) Knoppix release announcement, and as Knoppix is usually pretty good... you get the idea. I don't want to be the one to test it though - I'm not ready to nuke my Windows partition yet, and I can't download that much on this month's BB cap. Erayd (23)
