Secondly what do you prefer, super cheap crap broadband or good quality at a more fair price?

200MB falls into the crap category well and truly, and fully deserves to get flammed, and Xtra doing it as well is not really a great excuse.

Hmm...200MB won't be enough for me also

460875 2006-06-06 11:16:00 neither of the extremes..
i seem to get decent broadband at a decent price..so i'm not complaining

if it's seriously crap to get me so annoyed..i'll change to a better quality

200MB won’t last me a day! (OK make it a day and a half)

460877 2006-06-06 11:57:00 My internet connection is good value for money - as long as you're not only using it at peak times.
At peak times, I get bad latency, and get abgout 256k, which spikes to 2mb (the top speed of my plan)

I get 10 gig international traffic, and unlimited national traffic (which is good, because I've used 2 gig in 6 days just from playing round with Ubuntu). With my linux stuff not coming off my cap, I doubt I will reach my cap most months.

200Mb would probably like 1 hour?Lol..I would sometimes watch movies trailers and probably download trial software onlines.

Yeah probably 1 hour to about 1 day and a bit.lol

I downloaded Microsoft Visio I think it was 70MB or was it more?

I leave my computer on all the time to check email every 5 minutes

Browse internet websites quite a bit and quite often play Rise of legends and C&C online

Now come to think about it it won't last me a day.Make it two hours..

460879 2006-06-07 03:51:00 And Orcon knows all this. Its a marketing ploy. Some new people might sign up for it initially and then change plans later. Meanwhile it makes them look good, "see, look at us, such a nice ISP, giving you cheap broadband already even though we lose money". Although I bet thats factored into his calculations. Seebys a hypocrite anyway. pctek (84)
460880 2006-06-07 10:29:00 at least they're sorta nice and say excess fee stops at $150 or something
ha..if only it stops earlier..it might turn into a cheaper alternative to their unlimited $99 plan
