| 461392 | 2006-06-08 00:24:00 | I have that same problem :dogeye: At one stage I wrote a batch file which would forcibly shut down Windows every 2 minutes after a specified time to stop family members using the computer too late at night. Worked a treat. Great idea, how did you make it? do you still have it? |

It was quite simple: Save this into a line in a file named shutdown.bat shutdown -s -f -c "STOP USING THE COMPUTER" You can change the stuff in the " " to whatever message you want displayed when the computer shuts down, or omit it altogether. Then, in "Scheduled Tasks" in windows, set it to run at a certain time, and in the advanced settings, make it repeat itself every 3 minutes until a specified time. That way once your computer has shut down, if you turn it back on again, it will shut down etc. |
