463216 2006-06-15 03:59:00 how long does it usually take to get a wheel alignment done for all 4 wheels of my car? lance4k (4644)

463218 2006-06-15 05:16:00 If it's a 4-wheel thrust angle alignment, it can take over two hours . . . but normally if you haven't run over multiple pedestrians, then it should not take too long for just a 4-wheel alignment .

The difference is that the front end is aligned to the rears or just compared to the factory specs for all 4 wheels and dialed is as best as can be expected .

I usually do a thrust align on front wheel drive cars as they are the ones with the most to loose if there's any problems .

4-wheel drives are different too . . . . . . . . as are rear wheel drives (conventional differential types) as they push the front end .

So . there's a lot to consider . . . not any one method is superior to the other . . . just different applications .
