463150 2006-06-14 22:27:00 For a short period after you post there is an "Edit" button at the bottom of your post that is visible to you if you're logged on. PaulD (232)
463151 2006-06-14 23:34:00 You have a 15min timeframe after you post a message to edit it, using the "Edit" button which will appear at the bottom of your post. somebody (208)

463153 2006-06-15 02:13:00 Thanx folks. That doesn't help it it's next day.. :( paulw (1826)
463154 2006-06-15 02:41:00 We used to have a very nice spell checker but No! - everyone wanted a new forum with flashing lights and dancing girls. Which incidentally I'm still waiting for......... :( Winston001 (3612)
463155 2006-06-15 03:16:00 It's not that important, Paul. Even though there are still a few who do care about correct spelling, most of us forgive accidentals (and expect to be excused in return), I'm opposed to the editing capability, although I do use it when I notice my fingers have made a spelling error. ;)

It's a bit disconcerting to have answered a question, then see that the questioner has edited the original question after seeing your answer. :annoyed:

I rather like the idea that when you've posted something it remains immutable, as an reminder that you are responsible for what you say publicly. That effect is degraded a bit by the use of pseudonyms.

They say that sort of thing is not good for your eyesight.
