The news would have you believe the whole South Island is covered. I'm always so surprised that it snows in Winter

462922 2006-06-14 07:19:00 Cold cold cold,

This morning bought a new first for me, no hotwater owing to frozen pipes on the roof, and no low pressure cold owing to (you guessed it)

We've seen about a third of the country lose power, and when i rang Oxford last night, i heard that they had a day and a half without power, they're snowed in still, and they still don't have cellphones or DSL (poor souls, how do they cope?), allthough landlines are still working, just. All this just half an hours drive from central CHCH, where all we just got a light dusting of snow.

So let's hear how others got effected by all this silly weather stuff ;)

We got Hot Hot Hot Hot.

Over 100 degrees F here for days on days. Of course, that's what Summer is all about!
