| 463706 | 2006-06-17 02:24:00 | 1987 With Fidonet and my 300bps modem plugged into my SEGA SC3000 computer with a tape drive. Various bulletin boards were available where you could download shareware as well. Wow! The web was not about then but I had access to Usenet. I could even access my bank details online then too. Takes me back a bit. :-) |

| 463711 | 2006-06-17 06:16:00 | I think it was 1995-1996 I was around 10 years old I saw my father bought a new computer and upgraded it to a Amd k6 200mHz with 64mb ram.haha such a fast computer in those days. My father was with an ISP call voyager and he had a dynalink 28k modem. I saw my father used netscape 3.0 to go online all the time One day my dad and mum went to the supermarket .I was home alone. I was quite curious so I jumped on the computer and went online. Because I saw him all the time connecting to the internet I knew how to connect. Ah that was fun!! Went on for like 12 minutes:) Then in 1998 I think it was around there I saw the new telecom advertisment which was jetstream.I was amazed but then it was like $99 a month. So expensive. After around 2002 I believe voyager chose to closed its doors to customers so i went to join paradise .I asked one of my friend later to join paradise because Zfree disconnected it service in around 2003. I was with on a 30 hours plan for $20 with voyager.I frequently go over the limit.Used to spend like $60 for just 40 hours on voyager. Paradise was better.I was on a $20 for 20 hours.I was naughty while I was 14 i changed from a $20 for 20 hours to a $20 to 250 hours. HEHEHE:) My live story in new zealand:) |
