702174 2008-09-03 02:19:00 I used to use American Greetings CreataCard but they do not have version that runs on Vista. Can anyone suggest a good similar application? One that allows for printing on a local printer and can send by email would be nice

Thanks

702175 2008-09-03 03:00:00 Do you want professional software you have to pay for like Illustrator or InDesign or a free app that is "good enough"...?
here www.brothersoft.com

The finished file in InDesign or Illustrator can be sent to the printer as a print ready PDF.
*It should also be noted that neither Illustrator nor InDesign have preset greeting card templates which come with greeting card software packages. By having a clean canvas to start out with the artist has total freedom to create their own design.

702176 2008-09-03 10:07:00 A good free program is Serif Page Plus 8, has some templates to start you off, but easy to create your own. Find it at Serif.com

Microsoft Word also has some basic templates, you might look at.

702177 2008-09-03 10:23:00 I use Microsoft Home Publishing 2000. Had it on my old win 98 computer and couldn't find a modern equivalent when I got Vista Home Premium, so without much hope of success I tried it on the Vista comp and no problems at all. Makes cards for printing and sending by email. Could never understand why they stopped making it and of course you can't by it now new but I guess you might find it on Trade Me or in a second hand shop somewhere. golfer (6609)
