| 465684 | 2006-06-26 04:54:00 | I used the word 'hypocrisy', I didn't really mean that, maybe the word inconsistent, or inconsistency would be better. I freely admit to having no answers and to being inconsistent :) and admit to eating meat and fish about twice a week. We even ate whale meat during the war, but I can't remember what it tasted like. The objection to whaling because they are endangered species I regard as a valid objection. Objections to killing a whale just because it is a whale, a mammal possibly having a greater brain power than a cow or a sheep, I find inconsistent with the killing of other animals for food. "We", by that I mean humans, blast hundreds, thousands, of Iraqi civillians to pieces in the search to destroy Sadam, bomb Afghani weddings to bits (oops, sorry, wrong target, never mind, it's only collateral damage), and yet there is more wringing of hands over killing whales, and none at all over the umpteen thousands of other animals slaughtered in NZ alone. Consider, a sperm whale may weigh 40 tons, a steer about 0.4 tons, so if we take the life of just one whale, and take it as 'humanely' as possible, that would be only 1/100 of the suffering of killing the same weight of steers. Or about 1/3000 the suffering of killing about 3000 ? lambs of the same all up weight. As an aside, dairy/beef farming seems to be getting out of hand in this country, supplying beef to obese overfed burger stuffing Americans (and New Zealanders) waddling in and out of McDonalds :) , and creating environmental problems. The Hutt river has been closed to recreation all this last summer due to dairy/pig farm run off pollution from Whitemans/Mangaroa valleys creating toxic cyanic algae clumps. Where will it all end? |

Well....whales aren't going around blowing each other up, nor are they mass slaughtering other species just because. Only people do that, so I have little sympathy or compassion for people. In general. Not individually. Totally illogical I know but there you go. |

| 465686 | 2006-06-26 08:58:00 | Yeah, righto. But first you have to catch me. ;) Continue Story.... Humans are so easy to kill. One hit and bang, there's goes our meal means FoxyMX. Don't even need a truck to kill it. A car can kill it easily. If you guys want fast hunting machine like Jaguar cat. Then get a super exotic car to kill it and haul it back to your truck which park nearby and after hunting enough humans park your car in your trailer and drive home.:D There we go, we have enough for the whole Winter. What can we do for human research? Eat it raw? Put salt in it? Roast in like Char Siu(Chinese Sweeten Roast Pork) style? What about hunting life human for experiment for breading? And what if we found a girl? Ferterlised her egg? So that we can make more humans to eat? So? Can we humans stopped Whaling? Because Whale is a life creature too.:dogeye: |

OK that is enough. Continually posting on how easy it is to kill a member(s) of this forum is not really on, however light it is intended. End of that topic. | Jen (38) | ||

| 465690 | 2006-06-27 06:37:00 | As you can see, Jen has dealt with it. Thank heavens. Quite apart from any question of taste (about which there'd be many opinions, no doubt), it had become a boring monologue. |

| 465692 | 2006-07-04 01:33:00 | I'm fascinated to know why Greenpeace et all seem to care so much about these things, when they aren't throwing a fit about cats and dogs killing native wildlife And to the person who said we should boycott Japan. Good luck. Let me know how your electronics are all gone because they're japanese made, but at least now you have warm fuzzies because you saves a whale. Huzzah! New Zealand is small. We are nothing. If we boycott Japan, why will simply shrug their shoulders, cut exports, and import products from elsewhere. It'd be a fruitless excercise |

By the way don't use any Chinese inventions at all. That'll kill the whole thing down. i.e. Money, Papers, Rockets, Gun Poweder and etc. That is quite commonly seen at the moment. Need more? I see during the anicient time European did stole a lot of technologies from China and now said made in China stuff are bad. Why not don't use their inventions at all. Don't use their technologies and modify it for their own use. |
