2006-06-26 08:01:00 | My last Friday hang out was in Burger Fuel. It was good:thumbs:. I usually hang out at McDonalds, except I have more cash to go to Burger Fuel because I was so hungry that time. I'll see if I managed to post a Burger Fuel Burger. | MTLance (6768) | |

2006-06-26 10:07:00 | Hey MT the pic you sent me is similar to hamiltrons. Maybe bigger up there. Sweet. Do they have oversize people working there? Other fast food restaurents make me sick when I saw some fat woman working there. I mean that cashier chick is not a bad looking one plus customer service and the restaurent looks so clean. +They allow me to take photos and others didn't. Man, my second choice is definitely Burger Fuel. Might want to go back there sometime.

2006-06-26 15:36:00 | Good to hear Joe because lamb/mutton is a declining taste in the US of A . It has a particular smell when cooking which we don't notice because it is normal . But I've experienced rarified American nostrils atwitching with distaste at the smell of a lamb roast . I don't have a recipe . I just chuck it in a covered roasting dish, add potatos, onions, pumpkin, carrots, some water to prevent the whole lot drying out - and pop it in the oven . Slow roast at 180C for maybe 3 hours . Actually, the cooking aroma of lamb is probably one of the most savory experiences I can have . My father developed a yearning for it when my mom cooked it for us, even though for years he would not eat it . We kids did though, and learned from the one eating rule my mother instilled into us: Eat it the first time to try it; If you didn't like it that time, try it a second just in case the first was not cooked correctly . If you decided you didn't like it the second time, you do not have to eat it from then on . The aroma, like I said is a favored one for me, but yes, there are those who go the other direction when they smell it . I feel it is just the way you were brought up; with or without it in your family setting . My deceased and current wives never had lamb before I introduced it to them . . . but they realished it from that point on . . . . same for my current wife and seafood . She'd never had shellfish and was quite afraid of it until I had her try some . I just take a leg of lamb (from NX, of course) and rub it down with olive oil and course salt, poke a few holes throught the area we call "fell" and insert garlic coves into it, a little pepper on the surface and place it fell-side up into a roasting pan and cook in the oven at 325 degrees F until done . My sister and I used to squabble over the skin which had grown very crispy and zesty from the garlic/salt/pepper . Both my sister and I had no fears about eating some new and exotic dish, although I must tell that I developed a supreme dislike for anything with curry on it . There are Mexican taco trucks around here that sell the original style to real Mexicans . They use meat and meat sources that make the average American get sick, even hearing about it . I ike Tacos de Cabesa (goat head), - de Sesos (brain), -de Lingua (beef or goat tongue), and -de Chicheronis (deep fried pork skin) . Most Mexican eateries are amazed that a gringo would eat such things . Some Mexicans won't eat that stuff either . . but I do! I don't care to eat tripe though . The Mexicans call it "tripa" or "menudo" in soup and the blacks call it "chittlin's"; not my favorite . Steak and kidney pie reminds me of boiling urine, so I haven't tried it yet . . . have a hard time actually getting close to the actual building in which it has been cooked!

2006-06-27 06:02:00 | If you guys think other burger restaurents are better please do you survey here: freeonlinesurveys.com I still need more results from you people. So far McDonalds is taking the lead follow by Burger King. And others are all almost the same. Burger Fuel, Wendy's, takeaways and Burger Wincosin all have the same result I mean same amount of votes. If you guys are not satisfy and wanted to promote your favourite burger place please do the survey. It'll be very appreciated.

2006-06-27 06:26:00 | Thanks SurferJoe for explaining what chittlins are. I've never understood that in American literature - and never dreamed it was tripe (one of the very few things I won't cook). But I'm sad about your comments on steak & kidney pie. A good one is simply glorious. Maybe you've had a bad experience with a phoney. And as someone reared with mint sauce as an essential accompaniment to all mutton, I can't agree with your putdown of that. Mind you, it should ideally be home-made just before the meal - not oversweet green stuff from a bottle.
