| 464892 | 2006-06-23 04:16:00 | Greven, my wifey used to work for a business selling ice and juice back in the late 1980's. She was on a wage for one and commission for the other. Thanks to the company's accountant, she was able to claim on a Supplemetary Business or Professional Return of Income form IR3B. You have to keep pretty good record of your expenses and income as most of these have to attached to your Tax Return. Worked pretty well for her, $296 refund in 1987, $700.32 in 1988, so on and so on, almost better than her commissions. Don't know how she kept out of jail, but it was always accepted by IRD. The only thing we couldn't claim for, was the use of "part of the home", as we did not have a designated room set aside. Car expenses were the main expense. Hope this helps. Lurking. |
