| 702646 | 2008-09-05 02:41:00 | Hi team I had BIG issues with AVG so several weeks back I installed Avast on both my office computers. The W2K box is working just fine with audio notifications of updates about 2-3 times a day, but my W98 box doesn't seem to have updated at all and certainly doesn't show the update pop-up (has no sound connected). I've tried to find where to manually update but it seems quite obscure, or at least, I can't find it for looking. It is registered etc so it should be working. Any ideas? | 702647 | 2008-09-05 02:56:00 | Right click on the Avast icon. The update requirements for windows 98 are different from those for XP and Vista and often go for quite a while before needing updating. |

| 702648 | 2008-09-05 03:13:00 | Update: I left it sitting on the update window (did finally find it thanks) but it did nothing for 10 minutes then suddenly told me it was updated but there's no pop up or anything like that to confirm. Does the W98 version behave differently to that for later operating systems? Cheers Billy 8-{) |
