467163 2006-06-30 09:05:00 I agree, that dude may well be a little odd as you say. In fact several have noted that already in this thread. Only one person has suggested shutting the engine down when going on about trucks. You might even recognise the posting below perhaps.

Let-er rip Metla. I might even subscribe to this thread ...It was timed out for me to modify the message. It was supposed to be neutral gear. Truck engines need to be running when braking. I saw it somewhere else in other forum about divers please don't follow pro drivers.

467164 2006-06-30 09:07:00 OK. Got it. Means staying out of the group and read and ask questions? Prehelps my facts aren't really clear. Maybe jumping here and there is so confusing. Can the administrator increases the time for editing and changing it all the time? Like other forum does? Not 15mins?15 minutes is plenty of time to spot and repair any grammatical errors that one might make. I should know, i make enough :p But anyways, writing in a forum IS a publication, i am reminded of this by the amount of times i've found myself in Google while looking for something relating to an event i was at, or whatever. As a publication, it pays to, make some effort to get ones facts right, rather than making suggestions like "drive downhill without an engine on" in what is, or rather was a reasonably sensible thread.

Participate by all means, but please THINK before you push the submit button.

Anyway my uncle always shuts his engine when going down hill. He just left the key in key hole and I think he left the battery on. Does that works for you guys?

Muhahahahahaha.Pfft, I learnt by watching the best in the business (and this forum :p)

MTLance, Im not saying dont participate, by all means participate. This forum is made of all sorts.
All I am saying is be yourself. Don't try to be someone else (as thats what it seems you are doing). People will respect you more for YOUR knowledge than what you may have read elsewhere and use to make yourself look impressive. It doesnt work (another thing I learnt early on in life)

Shall we start afresh? :)

And BTW.. watch out for Metla. Hes a grumpy begga some days, just pick one of his good ones (few and far between as they are :p)

467168 2006-06-30 09:20:00 A wise man told me many years ago that all cars will do 25mpg, it just depends on how you drive them! tutaenui (1724)
467169 2006-06-30 09:24:00 A wise man told me many years ago that all cars will do 25mpg, it just depends on how you drive them!??? That's a very small car right? BMW consumes more fuel than that. This will never happen to big cars. MTLance (6768)

Lmao.

Ten minutes ago I threw out all the toilet paper in the house, declared that the brand in question is never to be purchased ever again as long as I live, and then sent Mrs Metla down the supermarket(ok, she was goin there anyway) for a .......uh....softer replacement.

Grumpy wasn't quite the word she called me, It actually sounded more along the lines of she should have listened to her mother, but it was a bit of a mumble.....
