466657 2006-06-28 11:22:00 No one should buy anything made in China, Including dams.(and excluding certain brands of PC components)

Our market has been flooded with throw-away junk from that part of the world for the last couple of years, People are almost used to throw away power tools, DVD players, crappy TV's, The list is endless.

We should send it all back, they can use it to backfill against there 42 cent dam.

Hail China for exploiting Tibet. I got a Leveno notebook for myself already. Leveno successfully took control of the whole IBM few years ago. If you say don't buy stuff from China then Where? Made in Vietnam? Hell, no I'm not buying Vietnam stuff. Besides most of the PC components come from China anyway, and so many American people started to learn their language instead of Japanese. China is bad??? Did you know how many AirBus did Chinese government ordered compared to NZ? More than NZ.:D I wanted to learn Chinese too. Plus Chinese Economy is growing so fast, compared to NZ.
I saw a lot of Businesses moving to China, even American car makers.

If you says totally don't use Chinese stuff. Then don't use their invented stuffs as well, like papers, money, and etc. Create your own. I bet you havn't reach the modern age yet. If China didn't have war I bet their age is far more advance than any contries at the moment. No kidding in the olden days the Chinese have reach a very advance age than any other countires that time, and war arises causing them to slow down and lots of technologies being stolen that time.:p I wouldn't say anything that they can't do. They might lagged behind a little but they are catching up fast again. Taiwan issues is distrubing China but Americans and Japs wanted to help Taiwan. So is there another war for China? If North Korea and China combined what do you think it'll look like? I think American and Japs will get wasted. Not to mention China have more power in military these days. NZ war with China? lol. It'll be so easily wasted by Chinese people.

Plus in China competition is very tough, so you'll need a very high skill to compete with those people there and International companies too.:) MTLance (6768)

You do realise our western economies rely on exploiting cheap labour in third world countries?, without it our economies would collapse!.

China will use this exploitation and rightfully so to grow its own economy until wages improve where it will become more of a first world economic power, EXACTLY like Japan. Japan was China economically 30-40 years ago, you remember people running around saying "Jap crap"

Once labour cost rise in China , western companies will move on to other third will countries to exploit.

Some people's view of the world is incredibly western properganda programed.

466664 2006-06-29 00:14:00 Leveno successfully took control of the whole IBM few years ago.I think you will find that Lenovo bought IBM's personal computer division, rather than "taking control of the whole of IBM". maccrazy (6741)

466666 2006-06-29 07:18:00 The companies might move to third world but some stuffs cannot be made in third world unless with very high tech machines. So where would they want their stuff made in that time? If China have high tech equipment? MTLance (6768)
