| 466542 | 2006-06-29 07:51:00 | Well guys I cant see what the problem is! The solution is simple and it goes like this . The Police arrest and charge the lot with murder . Theyre all remanded in custody to Paremoremo . At this stage the police have got to a position of strength because by the time bail hearings are organised, Im picking the matter will be resolved, even if a judge could be found that was stupid enough to consider bail . You see Ill wager that some, if not most of this lot have form and will be familiar with Pares internal justice system . In their system murdering babies is right at the top of crimes that must be redressed . Anyway, Im picking that before the paddy wagon gets to Pares gates those not involved will be chirping like a canary . If not, no matter, the bush telegraph will be aware of their E . T . A . and the inmates will have arranged a welcome . Ohhhhh, as I type this I can hear the squealing! All that remains is to sit back and watch the video monitors, record everything and then sell the tapes to a TV station as a Realty Show . What a way to recover the money these scumbags have already cost us taxpayers . Now, whos in favour? |

The jails are full of people who use excuses like "i was on P" or "i was drunk at the time" While these factors help explain the crime, they do not excuse it. The only difference it will make is that the killer would be expected to address the drug issue as well as do time. This is why drunk drivers are sent to deal with their drug problems, as well as P users and other problem groups. AA and other drug awareness groups are partly populated by people who have screwed up under the influence of some drug, and are on their last chance before doing time. Killing 2 babies does not constitute "oops, better sort my drug habit out" |

Never fails to amaze me how people criticise the Justice system when they know sweet FA about it and as a rule don't bother to even check their facts before they set off on a tougher sentences rant. These people find a natural home at the Sensibull Sentencing Trust. | Twelvevolts (5457) | ||
| 466547 | 2006-07-01 10:45:00 | When i did my time was when P was at is peak, and there were a lot of newcomers arriving who were coming down from the stuff. They'd often become reasonable people once the P had fully worn off, weeks later. It made no overall difference to the kind of sentences they would get for the dumb things they did. And just in case anyone gets the wrong idea, no i have never had any interest in the drug. |

As are the crappy jails. No one that I have known over the years was in fear of it, what does that tell you? And the ones who had already made their cash didn't give a damn about anything(not that they did before), An expensive lawyer does wonders. |

| 466550 | 2006-07-01 11:09:00 | Same with alcohol, cocaine, heroin etc etcTrue, the jails have so many junkies in them, and again, most are semi-reasonable once they've dried out, or whatever. Let them out into the world and the arm gets supplied again, and its all on till they get back home. "home" being a word sarcasticly used by many junkies when they return to jail. I have no time for junkies. They were once people, but the drug is all that matters, so human decency is usually forgotten. Anyway, this has little to do with the case in question. It would appear that the babies were the dumping ground for family anger and violence at the cost of their lives. There is nothing to suggest at this stage that any drug was involved, and if there was, it would most likely be alcohol. |
