466303 2006-06-27 04:56:00 I saw Click the other day. It was a let down. Prescott (11)
466304 2006-06-27 05:06:00 I like most of these movies and also Pulp Fiction starring John Travolta and Samuel L Jackson..., Kill Bill1 but not not the sequel...

I enjoy movies too but normally only see them on DVD. Finding a good movie isn't always easy so I use the Internet Movie Database (us.imdb.com) . Generally the highly rated films tend to be worth watching and you'll come across some you've never heard of.

A few suggestions off the beaten track:

Run Lola Run
Slingblade
Memento
Donnie Darko
Gattica
Full Metal Jacket
A Clockwork Orange
The Butterfly Effect
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
Metropolis

Monty Python! Excellent. And I love full metal Jacket. To me probably the best american war movie. After being in the army you kind of disagree with the americans 'Heroing' up a story, but that one was cool as there were no true 'hero' in the true sense.
A clockwork orange is a classic.

I am also a horror buff, any good ones? I have been watching the japenese ones like the ghost, one missed call, ringu etc but I've had enough of subtitles.
My favourite all time horror? Hellraiser.

466306 2006-06-27 07:07:00 These are all modern films.

So I'll add an oldie (with hopes for more from others) and it's one I can still watch.
(We've done this thread before, by the way)

The Wizard of Oz knocks most of today's kids' films into a cocked hat - provided there's an adult around to reassure small ones, so that they don't get nightmares about the Wicked Witch of the West.
1939 I think.

And I assume everyone has seen Casablanca?
And To Kill a Mockingbird?
And My Fair Lady?
And Zorba the Greek?
And Never on Sunday?
And Gone With the Wind?

They all won awards in their day - and for good reason.

466307 2006-06-27 07:23:00 I like to kill a mockingbird. whats the zorba one? rob_on_guitar (4196)
466308 2006-06-27 07:56:00 Zorba the Greek starred Anthony Quinn, Alan Bates & Irene Papas in 1964.

The theme tune was so famous you will have heard it - even if you didn't know its name.

Google has lots.

I thought the charecter of Professor-singa-a-lotta-songa was undeveloped, but he could throw out a tune with the best of em.

X-Men 3 ... boring (Phoenix is this almighty mutant who spends most of the movie standing round, and does nothing much till the end, what was with that?)
