| 702820 | 2008-09-07 20:55:00 | I have an old Vuego 3300U scanner (think Vuego = Acer) that I don't use anymore. It was manufactured in Jan 2001. Its power adapter has this on it: Output: 16VDC @1000mA The power plug for the scanner is 5mm in diameter. Is this any good for you? My Vuego 640U has the same PS. :) |

| 702822 | 2008-09-17 06:56:00 | Gary - that's not a bad idea. I'll rig up next weekend and give it a whirl - good thinking Curruthers. And Jen - this could be the missing link! My scanner bought early 2002 and it's the 3300 u.November 2001 manufacture date. Getting very warm I would think. Surely .9amps is not too far from 1000mA? Or will a mild explosion follow? The plug looks slightly larger than this - O - I'll get a calibrator thing tomorrow and measure it. If this all works, I'm in your hands to follow through - name ya price. Have you tried any yet was just wondering? |
