466622 2006-06-28 13:12:00 You'll probably have another 20 years to think of an equally amusing response at this rate too !!!Um... your post at 05:22pm; my response at 06:00pm. Thirty eight minutes difference. Just a tad less than 20 years I think.

we don't really even care about rugby that much !!Um... I think the evidence (www.bbc.co.uk) of eighteen thousand, four hundred and twenty eight plus posts suggests otherwise.

Face facts whinger - your "england" is a lost cause in any and all international sports.

ohhh getting a bit touchy there greg !!

18,000 posts for a population of 50 million plus - thats peanuts. Nottingham Forest in the third tier of football back in England had an average home attendance of over 20,000 per game last season !! Even this forum has 405,000 posts for a population of only 4 million and a bit !!! Hmmm.....you work out the popularity of each sport...

However I will admit NZ are better that us at netball and rounders !!! Never mind we'll let those ones go as we have the ashes, RUGBY world cup and quite possibly soon the footie world cup.

Engerland Engerland Engerland.....

466624 2006-06-29 04:02:00 Soccer World Cup? England? You visit the fairies often I suppose? Sorry mate. George Best died last year, as did your hopes a long time previously.

As for The World Cup, 2007 it'll belong to NZ, and 2011 same. As for 2003 - I can't quite recall - um... how many matches did England win against the All Blacks? Hmm. And since then? Hmm.

1] I haven't noticed him whinging.
2] He's right you know - they don't really care about rugby
3] With good reason - they've got proper football
4] But Portugal is so going to whip their puny white butts
5] Because Rooney will throw a temper tantrum (I mean face it, he's not even out of short trousers yet) ...

err...he was Irish

Until then you will have to live England being world cup holders then I guess...

Who cares. We're still the world champions and after all that is what it is all about surely ? Or is the about being the best team for the bits in between ?

Just for you though Greg heres some whinging.

466627 2006-06-29 05:09:00 Dunno where you live mate, but Auckland has just had a week of glorious cloud-free sunny weather, right in the middle of our winter.

But try remember not to contradict yourself - yeah England are the Rugby World Cup holders. Not the rugby world champions. Not even close. The AB's remain as always the world's best (www.irb.com) rugby team. Always were; always will be.

Yes, I know I shouldn't have raised the rugby topic when this isn't Chat, so I confess my own guilt.
But am I the only person more curious about the topic than the exchanges about rugby prowess?

You overlooked my original assistance in the postings above.

In economic terms (both in the number of words used in my answer, and in the monetary economics of providing a workable solution), the answer was No.

466631 2006-06-29 08:21:00 My apologies, Godfather, for not recognising the multi-faceted significance of your No.

(And to think I took it as the answer to his question:" Does anybody know if I can....?" etc..)
