467191 2006-07-01 10:22:00 A black vehicle with red stripes make it go faster anyway! Got to get rid of the blue thingys and do red stripes. :-) Then I can from A to B faster and cheaper. They are called go faster stripes. Have to get those! You mean like Ford GT with white stripes? MTLance (6768)
467192 2006-07-01 10:25:00 Nope havn't driven it. But a truck steering wheel can give you a look of wrestler for sure. If without powersteering.:D lol. It'll take forever to make a turn. Not so, My dear House-truck, better known as Esmaralda does not have power steering, but of course does not go fast either, so it's not a problem. None of my HQ holdens had power steering, and so long as the wheel alignment was as it should be, i could steer those things with one finger!

I think all power steering does is hide poor wheel alignment from the driver, but i suspect there will be those who disagree.

467193 2006-07-01 11:11:00 Motorcyles will not eat up so much fuel except cars because they are heavier than motorcycles.
*cough* I trust you are referring to some figures other than the average of 38mpg I quoted recently Metla, because if you are getting better than 38mpg around town in a 4L Falcon (or Holden, I'm not biased) you are either being towed or you had been at the mind-altering substances when you calculated your results.

According to published economy test results, a modern 6 cylinder 4L Falcon averages 25.5 mpg (11L/100km) on a city/country road-test cycle. I struggle to get 28-30mpg around town driving in frugal mode in the 2 litre SW and I can just make 14.5 km/l (41mpg) on a relaxed trip down country & back.

Somehow I just can't see you as a lightfooted economy-minded cruiser. :D

Cheers

467194 2006-07-01 11:21:00 My trip computer is currently giving a reading of 14.2 km per litre.

Should we assume its wrong?, Its pretty much exact when it tells me what range I have left....

467196 2006-07-01 11:27:00 Does the truck weight more than 20 tonnes?Three and a half unladen, and seven if i were to load it to it's legal capacity. personthingy (1670)
467197 2006-07-01 11:34:00 Three and a half unladen, and seven if i were to load it to it's legal capacity. So no power steering needed? I mean most tractors unit have power steering because they comes with more than ten tons. MTLance (6768)

when steering is setup for best handling it simply becomes to hard for most people to use. besides its make tight manovering so much easier.

No! I want an AstonDB with red stripes. :-) If it don't have RED stripes it will not go as fast.

I have seen Beetles' vehicle and it does not have RED stripes. Neither does mine for that matter.

White stripes are not cool and RED stripes make the vehicle go faster. I thought everyone knew that.

Well have a look at the front tyres for wheel alignment. By then it will be too late of course. If the rubber is wearing on the outside it will be toe in and toe out if wearing on the inside.

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Nothing wrong with power steering unless you have a truck driver who dumps his or her load as he/her is not used to power steering.
