| 467182 | 2006-07-01 08:22:00 | Sorry guys about shutting your car engine. Some cars(small cars/ old ones[very light weight type]) can steer when the engine is off but it is not quite difficult as you think except you need to go slower that's all. For some sedans when you shut the engine the car totally can't steer at all because the steering is too heavy. :)I hope you all don't try it by shutting the engine. In a modern car you're mental for doing that. However, I once had a 1963 Austin Cambridge which would steer exactly the same whether the engine was running or not. Anyway this whole question in the first place was because he was hoping someone would say of course the big grunty car won't use more gas. I've heard this "theory" before from people, who normally own big grunt V8s. Sorry, its wishful thinking. |

Because they don't need powersteering.:D Goody old cars. They might look old but there's advantage of them. |

| 467190 | 2006-07-01 10:13:00 | :illogical Seems nobody can take a joke round here................of course red vehicles go faster................. no matter what they are.... and google can tell you anything...if you look long enuf or no where to look..... this sorta reminds me of the stupid FORD / Holden thing people rave on about...... :xmouth: it really doesnt matter as long as you can get from A to B.............and if it consumes vicious amounts of fuel well then thats your problem not mine....... Any way why are we debating this / these questions? Fuel economy? or mines better an yours type thing? sigh.............. school holidays start today........... :stare: more arguments coming up maybe? I still want a number plate saying Beetle.........:D it will make mine go faster...lol beetle A black vehicle with red stripes make it go faster anyway! Got to get rid of the blue thingys and do red stripes. :-) Then I can from A to B faster and cheaper. They are called go faster stripes. Have to get those! |
