703732 2008-09-09 01:42:00 How can I remove shared folders from a PC when the original folder that was shared has been deleted/moved etc? Agent_24 (57)
703733 2008-09-09 02:25:00 Command line:

net share [my-share-name] /delete

(where [my-share-name] is the name that was used to share it).

or GUI

Computer Manager --> Shared Folders --> Shares
right click the share and choose "stop sharing"

703734 2008-09-09 12:24:00 Thanks for that, the command line way worked fine.

In computer management I only get 2 options - refresh or help - probably because it's XP home

703737 2008-09-22 23:54:00 I have the same problem on a Win 95 installation.
There are 2 shared folders which are no longer exist but still show on another machine (win 2k) on the network, (it is not this m/c which is at error as the hdd as been formatted and the system re-installed).

How do I gat rid of these ghosts on the Win95 m/c.

TIA
Phil.

Are you logged in as an administrator on your machine?
