703019 2008-09-07 21:14:00 Is this a U3 drive? Are you sure that your firewall has 'allowed' the device? johcar (6283)
703020 2008-09-07 22:09:00 Umm it has nothing to do with a firewall. You dont have to add them to a firewall for them to work

I've got 2, (ones a U3), and I've never added either to the firewall, so either will run.

You just plug it in, and it (should) work

703021 2008-09-07 22:32:00 I will defer to your superior knowledge Speedy, but I also run U3 devices (XP SP3 with Zonealarm Security Suite: a 1GB Kingston, a 2GB Sandisk Cruzer and a 16GB Sandisk Cruzer). Because a U3 creates a virtual CD drive to run, my experience was that I had to 'allow' the program in ZA.

That aside, I suspect that the OP's device is just an ordinary USB drive...

703022 2008-09-07 23:04:00 Take it back, they have a 5 year guarantee, I bought the 4gig version on Friday, plugged it in, just worked. zqwerty (97)
