468070 2006-07-02 19:58:00 Mission scrubbed b/o weather...keep the link for the next time.

I do believe that this is the first time that a streaming broadcast of the pre-launch stuff has been done.

Next date to be announced....stay tuned if you like this stuff!

468073 2006-07-02 22:22:00 When trying to watch the launch yesterday 7-49am NZT useing Windows Media Player or Real Player through NASA I couldn't get on due to to many people being online, but could get on to the low quality Quick Time link. I have a 2mb DSL connection.

they have been doing inter vodeo streem for a few years, i have watch sevral launches this way.

coverage starts about 8 hours before launch but is very dull till about 4 hours before.

start with "tanking" which take three hours.
about an hour and a bit of getting crew in.
about half an out of closing the hatch.
lots of dull waiting stuff.

last 30 minutes are quite good to watch.

coverage stays live right up till an hour or two after landing.

468077 2006-07-04 05:00:00 It looks like a go for Tuesday, the 4th of July here in the US . . . .

Hope the fireworks display isn't the shuttle again . . . . . . just what they don't need .

468078 2006-07-04 05:14:00 Nasa i think are rushing this launch and putting safety on the back burner excuse the pun, but last time they launched it was a small bit of foam and the shuttle broke up this time its a smaller piece of foam but they let it go ahead just wait for the explosion once that booster gets fired up that small crack will get bigger and well you know what could happen after that, but hey nasa said that last time and its to late to pick up the pieces now, nasa should cancel the flight fix the crack and then launch. I hope im wrong but i feel this could be another doomed flight but i hope not. Hitech (9024)
