The last one, of course.

I've been waiting 2 days for someone to state the obvious ( SurferJoe, what's your excuse?) but it looks as though everyone has forgotten Bill Clinton already.

Until he was 4, he lived with his mother in Hope, Arkansas, in his grandparents' small house. That's because his father was killed in a car accident 3 months before he was born. Grandparents had a grocery store.
When his mother married again - to a car salesman - they moved to "a three-bedroomed house."

Like him or hate him, he didn't get family help ( Quite the reverse. Remember the embarrassing brother..?) He studied...: got a Rhodes Scholarship.. worked his way up.
So brains plus charm can get you to the White House without a silver spoon.

(No, I'm not joining this political thread. Just had to get that off my chest).

469015 2006-07-08 15:57:00 Laura, of course you are right on with that . Clinton, although a black eye on the presidency and with his misuse of the Oval Office and the Lincoln Bedroom (both sacred icons in the US myth, synonamous with urinating on the queen's mitre), and his failure to remember who put him into office when he decided to give Palestine the territory they lost in the 30-second war, is not a very favored bastion of US society . Hollywood lost a favored son; the taxpayers got rid of a potential paternity suit generating president and a rake: a dissolute man in fashionable society .

He gets swept under the rug and even though the lump is there and you can feel it when you walk on it, after a while it'll flatten out, history will be remodeled and rewritten and he will be less remembered as a pervert, more as a rascal . . . the term is not mine .

I think, pardon me if I am wrong (as I am not a political hack and only certain things sparkle enough to catch my attention) that Jimmy Carter was not well monied or silver-spooned . By inferrence, I think I just said that Jimmy Carter didn't shine very brightly; his brother Billy DID shine a lot . . . or mostly a drunken glow . Did "Billy-Beer" get to NZ? He had his own brand .

Thanks for the you-gotta-be-there-type thoughts . From the movie MIB, "People are stupid; a person is smart" .

469016 2006-07-08 17:15:00 Yea lets think about this with some cold hard non bias facts

"Evil" North Korea has invaded what 1? country in the last 50 years and just getting some ICBM's now.

"The beacon of hope for the free world" Gods United States has invaded over 30 countries in the last 50 years and has over 4000 ICBM's.

Can you say pronounce "Western Propaganda" SuferJoe46? Time to start thinking about things for yourself.

PS if someone cares to correct me on those figures please do, I can't be bothered looking them up.
Typical

469017 2006-07-08 17:19:00 Of course you would rather live in the West, we control 80% of the worlds resources and only make up 20% of the worlds population, North Korea is also poor (and gee I wonder who is responsable for all those trade embargoes lol)

The West does this by controlling the balance of power (in the name of peace and democracy of course and they will DAM well invade other countries to get it!! lol)

Of course the US would have never invaded Iraq to steal Oil (in the name of stopping WOMD) if Sadam had Nuclear weapons.

Nuclear weapons and missiles in North Korea is a disaster for the US as it upsets the balance of power and threatens there living standards long term.
It is time to do some research rather than running off at the keyboard.

469018 2006-07-08 17:24:00 They all should just get it over and done with and have WW3.

At least it'll cut down the population a bit.
And generally make the living population more obliging towards each other.

Very good idea, you come back when you are finished and join back in, we would love to hear some of your more informed opinions.

It is sad to see so many people brain washed individuals not capable of looking past what they see on CNN and examining the evidence in front of them with there own brain.

How many countries has Evil China and Evil North Korea invaded in the last 50 years still waiting on the answer :)

469020 2006-07-09 08:04:00 Is this a trick question?

Do you mean "Before or after" Ghengis Khan?

469022 2006-07-09 08:22:00 I actually watch BBC News and listen to:

for insight to what the rest of the world thinks.

I do not agree with a one-world order under the current circunstances.

Without posting a 400 page responce and you counter responding, my point is simple.

Most views in this world are a matter of prospective. The "average" chinese civilian believes the US is "Evil" and are looking to take over the world.

In the US the "average" civilian believes China is "evil" and looking to take oer the world.

Who is right? Well I hear you say the Chinese are exposed to a lot of propaganda, but it is clear so are we.

It would be interesting for Aliens to come to Earth and Judge which countries can be trusted, I suspect most of the West wouldn't do so well lol.
