As I said above, the problem seems confined to Excel since the 1706 and 1603 errors didn't happen with Word, Access or Power Point. Thats why I think it's an Excel install problem. Chris |

I came to the uninstall Office conclusion a couple of days ago when Google kept saying... "any more searches on Error 1706 and Error 1603 and Google will no longer meet your search" :badpc: PressF1 was a last resort. I'll do the uninstall / reinstall asap. Cheers Chris |
