467892 2006-07-02 07:06:00 No.
We mean the list we see under: "What's Going On?"

Try beetle's link.

467893 2006-07-02 08:00:00 right... that list... Hmmm.....

Can't say i've seen any change myself, but then again observance has not always been one of my strong points.

467894 2006-07-05 06:02:00 I would think the others would be too busy with this IDG/Fairfax business to do any maintainence.
Not sure what would have changed it except if the vBulletin was updated for some reason. I know it is a simple option change in the vBulletin admin screens - but .... I dont work at IDG anymore.

Oh and there is no automatic culling system in vBulletin, so members would stay unless we specifically deleted them.

467895 2006-07-05 06:37:00 There you go beetle, you re not in danger of being 'culled' and your user name will live on for eternity in the darkest depths of some server  Shortcircuit (1666)
467896 2006-07-05 06:49:00 Sorry to hear you're no longer with IDG, Mary.

You've been a helpful & sometimes entertaining "unknown" on many occasions.
The long-termers here will miss your occasional comments - and wish you well in your next endeavour.

467898 2006-07-05 10:54:00 The member list.............. if a member is not using their account..when does the option of deleting or disabling this membership? come into play? who choose's if its not been used for a year? or 2?

as when checking some of the birthday list people some are not regular members.so they day they sighned up they left sort of thing?

How do we tell what is a true membership / users list then? how many are no longer here?

can admins go thro and cull these absent / invalid members??
or is this not possible?
I go to lots of sites, and if you are not active in the last months they give you 30 days to reply to a post and if you dont you get deleted....?

do we not worry about excess numbers here?
