This laptop goes well but it acts as if the function key is held down. Is there a key combination to undo that? |

Meaning? What is it doing exactly that makes you think that? |

AFAIK, the function key is not a toggle key so maybe its stuck! |

E.g. if, in Notepad, I push "p" I get a dash. Or for "u" it prints "4", instead of a colon it prints the plus sign, etc. |

solmiester.... On second thoughts the key works ok. If it's held down then the keys print as normal, so it's sort of acting in reverse. |

Well boys, I finally thought to look at the Compaq site for help, and Found The Answer!! Press Fn and Numlk - it's a toggle to switch between number pad and normal. |
