703928 2008-09-09 21:02:00 I just tried to go to a website, and I got this error:

Access Denied (license_expired)

A license has expired on the Proxy, and your request is not permitted: "The SGOS license has expired" A new license must be obtained.
For assistance, contact your network support team.

I then tried another website and got the same error. I can get to some sites (google.com, pressf1.co.nz, facebook.com) but not some others (yahoo.com, xtra.co.nz). I tried using Google to find an answer, but the links from Google all gave the error, so I couldn't get to them.

Anyone know what I need to do?

Mike.

703929 2008-09-09 21:14:00 OK so I restarted my PC and my router (despite the fact they were only turned on about 5 minutes earlier) and all seems to be back to normal.

Still confused about that message though, and why it was affecting only a few sites?

703930 2008-09-09 21:25:00 Something got screwed up someplace and rebooting must have fixed it - if its working I wouldn't worry.

Put it down to being Wednesday - good as any other reason

703932 2008-09-09 21:29:00 and it actually makes sense to me - at work our IT maintenance takes place on a Tuesday night, so quite often on a Wed morning there are things that don't work :)

unfortunately I'm not at work, so that doesn't quite cut it :P

703933 2008-09-09 21:39:00 Maybe it's some problem with a caching device your ISP is running. PaulD (232)
