469702 2006-07-09 22:37:00 It would be tempting to quote him so outrageous price, but in reality all that will happen is you will then get masses of these emails and never get the cheque. So pointless really. pctek (84)

469706 2006-07-10 07:22:00 1st rule of scambaiting: never give the scammer your details. If you've broken this, drop it! Scambaiters have been tracked to their place of work by being lazy in the past - fortunately they were not personally identified and hence were unharmed. The scammers may appear stupid but they are criminals - a fair degree of caution is essential when dealing with them. TGoddard (7263)
469707 2006-07-10 08:55:00 Beware of those scams that will transfer more than the price of the notebook to you and asked you to transfer the extras back to them. They are interested in the notebook. Basically, it is stolen money from New Zealanders or others (probably electronically) and using locals as a vehicle to transfer money out of the country. Please note that when caught, the locals are fully responsible for the return of the money. The police will not be interested to chase the Nigerians for the return of the money. There are already similar cases happening here. The latest victims are motel operators. So please be aware of such scams. Taurus (9579)
