| 470940 | 2008-05-22 04:02:00 | Yes, there is a connection box. It has a multi-pin plug, slightly less than 50 IIRC, and goes to a box that screws on the wall. The box offers a standard connection for ext "0" to plug into, and under the lid there's some push the wire into the hole type connectors for the trunks and extensions to connect from. At least mine does. Yours, i assume was unplugged, and sold "as is" I have the installation guide 22 pages in word (140kB) scanned and transcribed from .jpg. PM me :) |

| 470943 | 2009-03-19 00:30:00 | Hello all, I've seen a bit of chatter on here about the Philips SBX6/8/12 series of exchanges, so thought I might get some advice from those who has worked in this area. I'm involved with an interactive theatre project that requires an exchange for old decadic phones to be able to dial extensions. It must be disconnected from an outside line. I have absolutely no experience in this area at the moment so any input is welcome. Some questions; 1) Am I in the right place?! 2) The Philips series referred to throughout this thread appear to have once been quite common in NZ, are there other makes/models with similar functionality (specifically pulse dialing) around? 3) I'd love more than 12 extensions - although that's a good start - can several of these be networked without that outside line, or is that out of the question? 4) "Don't be silly Rob, that's way too hard, why not just get a 30ext unit?" ok ok, so what's out there that supports pulse dialing, has heaps of extensions and I'm likely to find second hand and/or bargain basement price? Any expert thoughts would be neat. Many thanks, Rob. |

| 470944 | 2009-05-11 11:00:00 | How can I get hold of a copy of a SBX-8 Manual, I can't seem to use PM at the moment (I just joined) but if there is some software or programming manual that I can get hold of that would be great as I got another TM bargin and would like to set up a small PBX (8 extensions) and one outside line but don't know what to do | randomguy08 (10730) | ||
| 470945 | 2009-06-10 09:38:00 | Hey all. Hope it's okay to bump this thread. I'd greatly appreciate a copy of the SBX6 manual; this unit has served a friend very well for the past 10 years but he is now looking to relocate (within the next two weeks). Pretty sure I can handle the swap with my current knowledge level but would be good to have the manual just in case. Any help/advice much appreciated Cheers, luke |
