| 470927 | 2006-11-16 12:01:00 | I have a Philips SBX 8 PABX. Display powers up then goes off.Not sure if it is faulty. SBX8-12 Display board. Able to pickup outside line ok. Some extensions ring no such number etc. May need to connect all 8 jack points. Will SBX8 auto load the jack point extensions,or are they dip switched in order on the Mother board to config ext number etc. Need to find a manual to check Mother Board Dip Switches etc. Trunk dip switch information would also help.:illogical |

| 470928 | 2006-11-18 02:53:00 | It might be working. I think the lights just show trunk line activity (though there might be one "power on" light which should be on. You can just connect extensions (up to 8). If there's no instrument on a line, it won't ring when it's called. :D The numbers I gave are probably standard. It might pay to have one on line "0". Don't mess with the DIP switches. :D Mine worked without any changes. (perhaps if they aren't "all on" or "all off" try those settings --- after noting the present ones just in case). |

Also the power LED is lit. The 4 LED display Number Windows all flash on then go off and stay off. What should the display LED Windows show when operating etc? |

If it's anything like the SBX6 which i have running here, lights for the extensions go off shortly after power up, and only come on if that particular extension is in use. The lights for the trunks on the SBX6 aren't lights, but a 7 seg display, that goes out as soon as an attempt to use a dead line happens. A means the line is live (or untested) U means it is in use. |

| 470932 | 2007-06-08 02:57:00 | Hi, I've just bought 2 SBX12s. I can get an extension tone on athe handset, but when i try to dial a 1 to pick up a line, there is a pause, then the handset tone disappears, the trunk line LED starts flashing, but no dial tone comes. Then even if you put down the handset, the trunk line LED remains flashing, and can only be reset by powering down and up. Both PABXs behave in the same way, so I suspect it is something I am doing, or how I've got the trunk set up. The trunk works if a handset is connected directly to it. Any help would be appreciated; particularly access to a manual. |

| 470934 | 2007-06-12 02:12:00 | I'd love to know how one installs these, I have just bought a SBX6 off TradeMe and am looking at the 50 pin plug  , should there be some sort of 'connection box' for wiring the jackpoints to? | GPO706 (10727) | ||

It has a multi-pin plug, slightly less than 50 IIRC, and goes to a box that screws on the wall. The box offers a standard connection for ext "0" to plug into, and under the lid there's some push the wire into the hole type connectors for the trunks and extensions to connect from. At least mine does. Yours, i assume was unplugged, and sold "as is" |
