470370 2006-07-12 22:07:00 Nobody needed to ask you questions to confirm you weren't a bot, Joe.

You didn't talk the right language to be a suspect.
After all, what bot would start threads named:

Hope Youse Guys Got Good Doctors There?
or
Can I Drink While Taking Antibiotics?

It's a "voice" thing..

(And yep it's a C, of course. Just knew you could find Canberra on the map).

Hey! Hey! Hey! ...I didn't ask that famous question if I could take antibiotics while I was soused....uh..uh! Been there...done it...it ain't good either! I know of what I am speaking here....purely anecdotally a waste of good beer too.

And the post about the docs in NZ was just to make sure one of my rock icons was gonna get good medical treatment for falling outta a coconut tree...anyone would want to know THAT!

For all youse guys know...I could be an A.I. BOT! They're really smart ......you know?

Youse guys got moving landmass? I'dda thunk youse wouldda built on more solid grounds . . . like concrete or somethin' .

I mean, if you throw a good three day drunk, or are on a date and she's been drunk for three days, how're youse sure youse can find where you or even she lives to get her home if the citys are slowly moving south?

Pretty hard work for the mapmakers there too I imagine . . . what with the place being a big cake with the frosting all sliding toward Antarctica .

Sounds like you should pick a city for a capitol that's a little more north if you ask me . . . how long will it be before Wellington is gone too?

No wonder you ain't getting dsl too fast . . . the investment by the isp's will all be for naught when you finally gurgle into the ocean . :groan:

470372 2006-07-12 22:32:00 Just read this about NZ:

New Zealand has no native land mammals, apart from some rare bats .

And that got me to wondering . . . . . since there are only two forms of life there, are youse guys really bats, ( . wikipedia . org/wiki/History_of_New_Zealand" target="_blank">en . wikipedia . org) or non-mammalian?

I don't think Wikipedia would say an untruth . . .

As far as the capitols go:

* In the South Island:
o Otago (settled from 1848), capital Dunedin
o Canterbury (settled from 1850), capital Christchurch
o Westland
o Nelson, capital Nelson
o Marlborough, capital Blenheim
* In the North Island:
o Wellington (settled from 1840), capital Wellington
o Taranaki, capital New Plymouth
o Auckland (settled from 1840), capital Auckland
o Hawke's Bay, capital Napier

Kororareka.

www.nzhistory.net.nz for a interesting selection of stories about NZ history.

Haven't looked at Wikipedia's entry - could be good for a laugh, though...

Got me beaten.

470377 2006-07-13 08:30:00 This thread is beginning to remind me of a forum I subscibed to way back in 95.
ADB was such fun, hoards of people with one thing in common, computers and alcohol.
