2008-09-12 08:28:00 | Hi I've looked around for a few hours now, and can't seem to find any help on my problem. Randomly my mouse and keyboard will freeze then i hear the disconnect device sound play. and after about 10 seconds of inactivity of the mouse/keyboard it will either start working again and play the device connected sound, or it will restart the computer. The outcome is most restarting the PC, about 80% of the time. I've upgraded every driver i could find as well, mouse/keyboard, latest Itouch software, even the latest BIOS for the motherboard. Still continues to do so. Just wondering if anyone knows what the problem could be. Thanks.

2008-09-12 08:35:00 | What version of windows is it / what service pack is installed?? If you get into windows (if its XP), reboot, press the windows key / pause on the keyboard / advanced tab / startup and recovery / settings. Untick automatically restart. Go to control panel / admin tools / event viewer. Look under application / system for any X's. Look for the time it crashed. Double click on the entry/ies. Click on the icon under the down arrow. Paste it here. Did you set the BIOS to its default settings and reconfigure it / save the settings. After you flashed it? Post a hijackthis log, its in my sig below. We'll see if you've picked something up

If there isn't, try plugging in each device one at a time and listen in. If there is nothing, unplug the device and try another one. |

2008-09-14 04:53:00 | Okay i have a few updates. I tried the error log but nothing relevant showed up. re plugging things in worked as normal. Another person suggested unchecking an option on system properties that was like 'restart computer on error' or something. This morning the fault occurred and instead of restarting it gave me the BSOD (blue screen) which was good because it gave me some information. DRIVER_UNLOADED_WITHOUT_CANCELING_PENDING_OPERATIO NS the file was LHidusb.sys. Apparently this is the Logitech driver for the Receiver device for the cordless units. Right now I've removed the file from the folder and plugged in an old mouse and keyboard and am going to test if it happens to these (as it causes the keyboard+mouse not to function). I cannot find an updated file for this, or do not know if the file is even the problem, something else may be crashing it. Any Ideas? Like ive said i've installed the latest drivers from Logitech etc etc. Running XP. Thanks

2008-09-14 05:07:00 | I would send an email to Logitech with the name of that file and the stop error (which maybe 0x000000CE). And tell them its crashing your system See what they say It looks like that message / stop error can come up, if you install a windows 2000 driver (and youre using XP) What service pack is installed? 1, 2, or 3?? If 3, and you can get into it, send me the dmp file by email (left mouse on my name / send email). I'll see what it says Altho this may not work with the amount of posts you've posted
