| 704567 | 2008-09-12 00:08:00 | Hi Guys Using Vista Home Premium (probably for not much longer though... ;) ) and am sick of having to resize "My Computer" window everytime I open it. It opens at about 1/4 screen size and while I don't want it full screen (I have a 22" W/S screen and still want the Sidebar to show), I want to permanently change the size to suit. I have tried dragging to the size I want, closing then re-opening but it goes back to the small size. I have tried changing the folder options to 'apply to all folders' but the button is aways greyed out and cannot use. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Cheers Peter |

I just did that and the box was small, so I clicked on the maximise (two small squares on top right of box) icon and it made it full screen. I closed and opened it several times and it has stayed the same size. But I'm no computer expert (ain't that the truth!) so this may revert when you close down your computer so wait for the expert advice to roll in before taking this as gospel! Forgot to add, running the same, and also have a 22" wide screen monitor. And - just to prove I don't know what I am talking about, just realised you don't want it full screen - doh, so ignore my post! However, I just tried dragging the edges of the folder to a larger size, then I closed it, and when I opened it, it had stayed the same size. Not sure why it is working for me and not for you in that case. |
