472714 2006-07-22 02:22:00 A MAN, apparently drunk, was found with his penis stuck in a beer bottle at a bus station in Johor Baru (a Malaysian state), reported China Press .

The man, in his 50s, is said to have inserted his penis into the bottle to urinate .

A security guard spotted the half-naked man there at about 8 . 30am on Wednesday .

Fire and Rescue Department personnel, who arrived half an hour later, were at a loss over what to do and the man was sent immediately to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital .

However, upon entering the emergency ward, he asked to “go out for a while” and then fled the hospital .

It is learnt that the department is still trying to trace him .

472715 2006-07-22 02:45:00 While it is most likely a hoax that yet another news media organisation has 'fell for' (to sell more papers), it is very pleasing :D to see our upstanding clean ethical young man, JamesKan, has evolved to our rather dubious PF1 standards..! Strommer (42)
472716 2006-07-22 02:52:00 LOL, it is funny, but James, WHAT were you looking for when you found that?? :p :D The_End_Of_Reality (334)
472717 2006-07-22 02:59:00 You haven't learned the subtleties of English decorum yet James. Greg (193)
472718 2006-07-22 03:04:00 Even though the beer is just rented, you are not supposed to put it back in the bottle. That would severely impact on the profits of the brewers.

It's also recommended that you check on the wind direction before disposing of the once-used beer. Upwind is not usually a good directional choice.

AND never but never cast your eyes on a voluptuous bit of skirt at the same time

472720 2006-07-22 03:37:00 I was thinking if he got it in the bottle shouldn't have been a problem removing it. Unless he developed an unnatural attraction to the bottle. pctek (84)

472722 2006-07-22 04:13:00 Oh come on! :D
I read Malaysian news on The Star website everyday, and I *just* happened to stumble upon this news (it is listed right on the bottom of this page: www.thestar.com.my )

To Greg -> What does that mean? Subtle is something that is difficult to be grasped, isn't it? Therefore, I haven't learn the difficulties of mastering proper conduct of English? :illogical:

Cheers :)

472723 2006-07-22 16:02:00 James:
Greg's comment about subtleties of English "decorum" doesn't relate to your grasp of the language itself.
It implies the manners/thought behind raising this particular subject.
"Decorum" is a measure of behaviour.

So some people were surprised that you would choose that item to publicise. It didn't fit with their mental picture of you.

On the colloquial English front - your response "Oh come on" shows that you are getting into general expressions well.
