472186 2006-07-22 13:00:00 ...I believe what I see and what I hear.
I don't need plants like you telling me about a "media conspirancy"....
MartynzOh my, another sheep who follows the media shepard. They really have done a number on you.

Poor soul, may they treat you with dignity as they chew you up and spit you out along with all the other suckers :stare:

472187 2006-07-22 14:35:00 Love it, guys.
Keep at it.

Now I've got my own views about Winston.
And I've got my own views about media reports on this current contretemps - plus naturally bearing on my shoulders every wrong/biased thing every reporter ever did.
(You get used to that very early...)..

But right now I've mentally got the most vocal of you (and you know who you are) in the studio.
And I'm adjudicating as you go at it hammer & tongs from completely different directions.
I'm unbiased and calm and doing a simply superb even-handed interviewing job.
And the best part of doing it this way?
Nobody can tell me I'm wrong.

Thanks so much for reminding me what I left..

472188 2006-07-23 00:47:00 Personally. I think Winnie is the most professional MP we have! Just look at the rest of them, SHEEP, and as for that Banker, Brash. Well I for one found it amusing that the Media got him to walk the plank with that smug little smile of his. As for National in "Opposition" surly any politician worth his salt knows there is more to opposition than just disagreeing with everything the ruling party says and does and making ad hominem attacks on all and sundry.
And where were National on the dog chipping nonsense? they didn't even look after their own, the farmers, tha was left to the Greens. What a waste of time and money. Winnie for PM, at least we know his agenda.

472190 2006-07-25 02:44:00 I have now lost total respect for both Barry Soper and Guyon Spiner. After hijacking the Photo Opportunity, they did not even bother to attend the Media Conference
"Another fact they failed to report was that the scheduled media conference went ahead after the meeting, but there was no sign of TVNZ, Newstalk ZB or the Dominion Post." LINK (www.scoop.co.nz)

They are just trying to boost their own Media Personalities, if they had any to begin with. I did not think Kiwi's were arrogant. But it appears they were and then on CloseUp, Susan Wood continued to talk over Winston.

Out of all this Winston has earned a little bit more respect from me. Maybe a vote one day.

472191 2006-07-25 03:42:00 At the end of Closeup last night Susan Wood read about 4 emails all supporting Winston and rubbishing the media. I for once have to say that I support Winston as well. For those of you who didn't see the Closeup Winston interview last night click here (tvnz.co.nz) and select McCain and the Man.

Exactly what I was trying to say all along. The media will lie, lie lie!! Early on in the Winston incident the main thrust of the story was WP was rude to some big wig yank. Finally the focus is now on the behaviour of the media, the problem is the video footage is entrenched in our minds, the fault of the media will be played down and will not get the same sensational reporting compared to the original story.

The more I think about it (and I am probably thinking too much about it) the media play a big part in how society is shaped. Maybe a big call but if you think about your view of society - where did it come from?

I wont go that far to vote for the guy - he is still arrogant.

472195 2006-07-25 06:23:00 Yep, great to see that others have seen it as I have. Winston was right.
Notice that even on Close Up they still tried to drag him down.

I'm not a winston supporter but he goes up in the honesty stakes for me, and the media go down.
