Here we had a mother of two dead babies who'd obtained a lawyer as soon as they were dead and refused to speak to the police. Her own babies. Dead. Seemed kind of reasonable to ask why? 472178	2006-07-21 21:37:00	If you ask me and I know you didnt but heres my :2cents: anyway...the cops should arrest the whole lot for obstructing justice or something, it is disgusting how that family have acted over the deaths...surely someone feels enough guilt to tell the truth....and anyone who protects someone (whoever the murderer is) from justice just because they're "family" makes them as guilty as the murderer.	straitjacket (9698)

AND, personally I think that Winston Peters, if given a chance, does have the ability to do that job well . He has survived so much in his political life where others would have failed and been gone the next day . Many have written him off only to find he pops up again, and again, and again . He's got guts, a rarety[?sp] in NZ politics, and he's not into all this PC psychobabble . I also watched, for as long as was bearable, Susan Wood and her camera man laying into the mother of the twins, and then turned the TV off and sent an email to CloseUp to butt out and reminded them of their lack of qualifications in murder cases and their lack of talent in any media field . It's obviously a case which has to be handled carefully by qualified people . This appears to be a family where violence is second nature to them . It seems there is not just one abuser involved, and not all of the injuries happened at the time of death . If I was a member of that family I wouldn't be opening my mouth either, because I would know that the next murder enquiry the police dealt with would be MY murder . Well no thanks!	MMM (5660)

Of course that journo pushed him... but we didnt see it because...they've edited the tape. OK he didn't actually say that but he used his usual tactic....you'll see the truth etc. etc. The guy is a loud mouthed selfserving bully. Btw, if he achieved so much in the US I'm surprised he isn't clamouring to be sent to the MidEast to solve those problems. Martynz	martynz (5445)

Martynz The point is that journalists are nothing but two faced, lying, biased idiots who are under some illusion that they report for the nation. unfortunately they have too much sway in how society is shaped. They feed so much on the negative, report only part truths and will go to great lengths to expose a situation but when proven wrong will bury a retraction way down in the depths so no one will see it. THE MEDIA ARE SCUM!!! Winston is the last person I would ever support but when the media balantly report only part of what happened and make some big media circus about what I saw as a non-event that really gets me angry.	sam m (517)
