| 704959 | 2008-09-21 16:40:00 | So recently I have been getting incredibly wrong (extremely fast) speed tests. Here is a picture of what I mean: Attached file: untitled1221286722.png (www.imagef1.net.nz) (59 KB) I'm on Telecom Go Large Any idea what I can do to fix this? I've tried clearing my cookies, cache etc. Happens on Firefox301 and IE7 Well mine is ok but yours is WOW Here are 4 tests 2 in speedtest and one io and one with a Direct Dowload Server diferent mile distance on the speedtest ones: 1.speedtest.net 100miles www.speedtest.net (http://www.speedtest.net) 48000kb/s DL 2.speedtest.net 1350miles www.speedtest.net (http://www.speedtest.net) 47000kb/s DL 3.speed.io speed.io (http://www.speed.io) 30000kb/s DL 4. i38.tinypic.com 5.5MB/s DL |

| 704960 | 2008-09-22 00:28:00 | try around 7-8pm & compare the result:banana I find with Xtra's (Go Large) throttling, the first (say) 5Mb of a large download is super fast then it gets throttled back to sometimes 1/10 of the initial speed. This initial 'burst' of unthrottled bandwidth can give misleading results on speedtests |
