2008-09-14 07:13:00 | ive got all the ports forwarded correctly. is there any chance my dlink dsl 502T is causing any of the speed issues? although i was getting very similar speeds with a netgear adsl/wifi router

2008-09-16 07:07:00 | it might just be the trackers and the seeders/peers that you have | nerd (109) | |
2008-09-16 08:43:00 | it might just be the trackers and the seeders/peers that you have yeah I think so too, with that many peers don't expect a good download speed unless you have a really good upload rate

2008-09-17 05:06:00 | Such speeds make me sad... I wish I had 97.5kbytes upload and 812.5 download :( how much do these plans cost again? | SPARTAN 860 (2618) | |
2008-09-17 05:22:00 | just in case you may of overlooked it if you havent port forwarded your ports for the torrent program then your torrents will download much slower. Im also on Xnet Fusion, recently I upgraded my router from a dse adsl wireless router to a belkin n series adsl wireless router, On the dse the max speed i got was 3400/750 now im getting 6500/780. dont know whats up with xnet this week as most of the time since monday ive been getting around 120/50 so slow that my vfx phone line i have with them just breaks up and is unusuable, they contacted telecom who just blamed it on congestion at the exchange, i said surely going from around 6000/780 to around 120/50 cant just be congestion.

2008-11-01 06:52:00 | my speeds have dropped in the last week from up to 100k a second to about 15k a second on a single torrent. Something has definitely happened... I doubt its congestion. Are we gonna ***** about this to xnet? Id almost consider changing back to Telstra now... normal fusion doesn't throttle your speeds any? | ryrynz (14175) | |
2008-11-01 07:39:00 | Welcome to PressF1 ryrynz :) What Xnet plan are you on? If you’re on the "torrent" plan have you thought about changing to one of there other plans???

2008-11-01 08:00:00 | It sounds like the torrent plan is as bad, or worse than the river plan Its probably the torrent plan thats screwing the other plans up Get on the river plan (or the other plans), then you'll know what slow is

2008-11-01 18:09:00 | I had that plan and it was so bad I had to change to the pay per Mg plan The first few months was good then recently my downloads has gone downhill I was downloading at 95 bytes/sec from megaupload and 0.1/kbps from utorrent. I wasn't able to surf the net at night. When I had enough and switched to the other plan everything went back to normal. I get 700-900kbps from megaupload and i get 100-200kbps from utorrent. I don't recommend the Torrent plan. Its CR**
