I can send you an email with the zip file I have if u want to give me your email Or come here tomorrow, and I'll do that for you as well Whats the brand/model of this USB flash drive BTW? |

2008-09-12 10:33:00 | Normally XP cant read blanks (well cant write to DVD blanks), unless you've installed the Imapi 2 patch / update. Speedy-you are a genius I just installed the update and am now restarting-I'll tell you in about 5 minutes if it worked or not

2008-09-12 10:42:00 | Hmm, that update should only be needed, if youre going to copy files to DVD, through my computer. You shouldnt / dont need it, if you've got another program, that can burn ISO's.

2008-09-12 10:44:00 | Tried image burn-says at the bottom "Device not ready (medium not present - tray closed) Burnatonce has a similar error BTW that IMAPI 2.0 hptfix didn't work

2008-09-12 10:48:00 | I would say its because you need a blank cd not dvd If you still cant do it, bring the ISO and the laptop here to me in Mt Eden The Imapi 2 update is ONLY if you use my computer to copy files to a cd or DVD.And you cant do it with ISO's since you have to extract it to cd or dvd. Not for programs you've installed that do the same thing

2008-09-12 11:01:00 | Its ticked-that was one of my first suspicions. I even enabled the DMA thing

2008-09-12 11:14:00 | Two things I can think of this time of the week - :) Maybe a dirty lens in the Drive if it suddenly stopped reading blanks ( not being able to burn) OR Have you installed any programs and this started, including updates - or removed any programs, changed any settings no matter how small they may seem ?

2008-09-13 00:06:00 | Probably not the drive problam, quite a few laptops have this problem. Friend is coming over today, I'll just tell hime to burn it for me. Oh, and WT, I haven't installed anythign recently, I only just bought this old Portege M300 off TM a few weeks ago.
