705089 2008-09-14 00:48:00 Hi there, I've been playing around with syspart (winnt32 /noreboot /syspart:? /tempdrive:?), and found an annoying "feature". Syspart for some reason writes in there somewhere information about drive letter assignments.

The scenario is as follows: Use computer A to write to HDD from computer B the windows setup startup files. Re-Attach HDD to Computer B and start. All goes to plan until the screen where you choose where to install windows and see (in this case) drive G (where mounted on computer A), one cannot delete this partition and recreate it as it has the setup files on it. Aargh.

Notes:
CD Drive cannot be connected to this system at the same time as HDD (pico ITX).
I do not have a USB CD Drive.
Placing startup files on another partition that I do not intend to install windows on causes an interdependancy (boots off drive on which the startup files were placed), which severly reduces flexibility of system.
Only current idea is to build a windows install on say a D: and assign HDD to which I attach other HDD C:

Thanks for your suggestions.
