| 704962 | 2008-09-13 07:09:00 | Well gota friends laptop here, no idea what they did, but when you login in both safe mode and normal it comes up wtih the message Message: the system process 'C:\System32\services.exe' somthing 1073741819 nt authority system somthing i tried to google around but could only find old things, i can get it to a stage where it is semi usable, but if i try to scan it with any removal tools the system locks up and shuts down im all for formatting, but i cannot as the documents on the machine are all needed for work and all that i looked around for a bootable virus scanner but can't find anything that wont cost me an arm and a leg whats my next option? any help appreciated btw windows home edition sp2 it wont even recognize my usb drive or anything so i can't get a hijackthis log off of the machine |

| 704964 | 2008-09-13 07:14:00 | Its probably been hit by some kind of vulnerability. yeah and when i try to run something it takes 5-10 minutes to show up, i removed a bunch of things i considered suspect in hijackthis, made the machine semi stable, but still :/ sad face desktop and screensaver have also been hijacked lol |
