Good on Telstra for making a move, I am sure that some of these new plans will appeal more than the crap that Telecom offer

474414 2006-07-28 10:26:00 I think it was mentioned in another thread too?

But hmm, I must say, well done . Great compared to Xtra! But compared to other UBS ISP providers, it wasn't really the great "wow" I'm expecting? Not with all the fuss and "victories" about reaching deals with telecom and going to the commerce commission .

Just take a medium of the road user for example . He wants 20gb/mth . For 2Mbps/128kbps plans, ISPs Actrix, Slingshot, and a dozen more others offer similar prices . For 3 . 5Mbps/128, slingshot is cheaper even, since they offer more download limit for the same price .

Moreover, Telstra requires you to have a min $10 spend with them! Hey, that's actually quite a hefty "surcharge"!

So yea, not exactly the "everyone let's flock to telstra" plan I was hoping for .

474416 2006-07-28 11:46:00 Crap Plans, I spit on them.

ADSL is dead.

The faster we move onto a new system the better, and I don't mean ADSL 2, (ADSL is dead afterall).

474417 2006-07-28 13:08:00 Heh, they don't even know what a Gb is. "1,000mb or 1Gb" "10,000mb or 10Gb" pine-o-cleen (2955)
474418 2006-07-28 20:50:00 anyone read the bit at the bottom of their page under "other things you need to know" which informs you that you HAVE to have your tolls with telstra and that you are on a 12month contract subject to early cancellation fee. I am with Xtra it costs $2 a month more then the equiv TC plan and I have no set term contract so I would say that tc's plans suck straitjacket (9698)
474419 2006-07-28 20:52:00 Heh, they don't even know what a Gb is. "1,000mb or 1Gb" "10,000mb or 10Gb"
