I am trying to think of a proverb that describes a situation where "one is honoured if he or she rises up and fights for justice". It doesn't matter whether it is in English or in Maori or in Mandarin. For those who think that I am merely being lazy and relying or shortcut, at the moment, I am browsing through Google for proverbs that have similar meaning. However, I am just wondering if any of you guys, based on your experience or knowledge, have any ideas regarding this matter. Thank you very much.

473617 2006-07-27 05:26:00 Strictly speaking I think you mean an aphorism, quotation, or saying. A proverb is usually drawn from folklore.

There is a system for recognising "one who is honoured if he or she rises up and fights for justice", if it is any help, here (en.wikipedia.org)

Mine is rusty now, so no guarantee the declensions are correct.
(e.g I don't remember will be honoured. Mine says is ...)

Get it checked by someone who knows more.
