473418 2006-07-25 18:19:00 Just wondering what we peoples round here prefer in the way of mobos.. hamstar (4)
473419 2006-07-25 18:57:00 My homebuilt is a SOYO Dragon Ultra Platinum SY333 w/Athlon XP, and I think it runs well...especially with all the hdds I have on it...might be the Enermax PS that's the secret though.

It might just be growsing on my part, but I didn't see that brand on the list.

473420 2006-07-25 20:17:00 Asus and Gugabyte are two very good brands.

Asus being No1 and Gb being No2.

PCTek uses and recommends Asus brand motherboards.

473421 2006-07-25 20:43:00 My Dell mobo is quickbooting, but that's all I have to recommended it. I prefer Asus over anything. (I can't change my Dell mobo either, as it doesn't have the standard I/O ports! :annoyed: :badpc: pcuser42 (130)
473422 2006-07-25 22:03:00 ASUS rules.
Not just my opinion either.

473423 2006-07-25 22:58:00 Asus is great for OC , in fact more than great :D

Intel desktop board on the otherside is solid as a rock.

473424 2006-07-26 09:19:00 DFI for the win, and for maximum overclocking potential lagbort (5041)
473425 2006-07-26 11:08:00 I use exclusively Asus or Gigabytes, depending on what kind of system I'm making (Gigabytes are generally cheaper for the features, Asus are better). In my own PC I would use an Asus. george12 (7)
473426 2006-07-26 11:37:00 In Asus I trust...... they update their drivers, bios and even produce manuals in proper English. Not expensive anymore as well..... :2cents: gibler (49)
473427 2006-07-27 01:02:00 In Asus I trust...... they update their drivers, bios and even produce manuals in proper English. Not expensive anymore as well..... Yeah, even their el-cheapo boards work brilliantly. Greg (193)
