474279 2006-07-29 02:11:00 Make sure the RAM is seated properly, it may have come a bit unstuck when the washing was unbalanced. :p
Oh come on, even I know you shouldn't wash woolens in a machine but if you must then make sure your Ram is comfortable, lying would be preferable to sitting in this instance as a Ram sitting on one side of the machine could cause severe balancing issues. :D

That's all right beetle, you are excused . Actually this thread is becoming slightly esoteric, all I want to know is: when will it be safe to fix my light bulb?

I'd also check the label on the ram if I were you beetle, it may an Angora and they need to be hand washed . . . preferably standing upright :)

Oh but you are wrong - lots of woollens are machine washable these days .

Actually I've had a brain wave . Beetle should remove the RAM from one washing machine and put it in the other one . We all know that twice as much RAM is better .

There might not be enough room for both to lie down comfortably but as long as they are seated properly around the wash bowl then the machine will no longer be unbalanced . I'm sure that will fix her problem . :D

474285 2006-07-29 08:33:00 ok well

we swapped bits . . . . . . . . . . . and water thingys and worked out its got to be the sensor / or pump cos it turns on, starts to fill and gives five shots of water then stops and lights go out and it beeps .
set it on spin and it pumps out and pumps out . . . . . . . . . and keeps going till you stop it . . as it wont pump out all the water .
so it never washes, or rotates, or moves the bowl?

and the other one is dead as, no power . . . . . . . . . . . but its parts fit the other machine so we may be robbing from m 1 to m 2, to save on costs . . . :D hopefully, same brand . . . . . .

so roll on monday and the washing machine man . :D

474286 2006-07-29 08:55:00 What's the make and type of machine you have. It maybe I've repaired one when I insisted in always trying to fix something rather than just throw it out. These days even us geeky types struggle with domestic technology. It could be as simple as rewinding the armature of the main drive motor, yes, I've done it ...yes. I am a geek :-) JackStraw (6573)
474287 2006-07-29 09:06:00 they both smart drives, one is a 8 kg and one is a 5kg one,

id have to go out to the outside washouse if you want more specifics . . . . . . and check .
